Water Main Break

Good morning, this is the Cortlandt Consolidated Water District with an important message regarding water service to your area.  Emergency water system repairs are currently underway by the Northern Westchester Joint Water Works on a large transmission water main located on Montrose Station Road.

The Town of Cortlandt water crews are in the process of switching to an alternate feed to temporarily restore water to most locations while the repairs are being completed. We will continue to post updates with latest information throughout the day.

During this changeover process you may experience intermittent loss of water or low water pressure.  Once the system has been restored, you may experience discolored water or air in your lines. We ask that you refrain from washing clothing until the cold water in your home runs clear. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
