Yesterday, we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, the ratification of the 19th amendment which granted women the right to vote. Tomorrow, August 20th at 5 p.m., to honor this historic period, we will be hosting a Zoom event featuring New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, state and local government officials who will share how this significant legislation has affected their life today. Our guest speaker will be Dare Thompson, who is a past president of the NYS League of Women Voters and a current board member.
