Good morning, this is the Town of Cortlandt with a winter storm update.

The Department of Environmental Services workers have been out treating and clearing roads since 5:30 am this morning.  We expect the storm to extend for most of the day with accumulations of  up to 6” by this afternoon.

As a reminder parking is prohibited along town roads during winter months.   If you have an emergency, please call 911. If you experience a loss of power please contact Con Edison at 1-800-75-coned to report your outage. 

All sanitation services for Tuesday February 9th will be cancelled for the day.  Tuesdays garbage will be picked up Wednesday, Wednesdays paper will be picked up Thursday, Thursdays comingle will be picked up Friday and bulk route 1 will be cancelled. The snow, low temperatures and icy conditions this morning prohibited our sanitation trucks from safely traveling the roads.
