Happy Labor Day!

Today we celebrate Labor Day 2021! Labor Day was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. We celebrate today to pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers, especially those in the Town of Cortlandt!

While Labor Day weekend symbolizes the end of summer and is often celebrated with parties and street parades - this year we honor the holiday amid the continuing pandemic. We encourage residents to celebrate the holiday and end of summer safely with family! Enjoy the beautiful weather we are having and have an amazing day off!
