The Division of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) issued an advisory notice regarding sales costs for alcoholic beverages. In November 2025, the U.S Mint stopped production of the penny. Consequently, ABC received inquiries about whether licensees may round sales prices, since the penny is no longer in production and in short supply. ABC will allow the adjustment of a sales price up or down if it does not decrease the “cost” of an alcoholic beverage as defined by N.J.A.C. 13:2–2.
