Mendham Township’s Office of Emergency Management, Police Department, Fire Department,
First Aid Squad, and Department of Public Works continue to work throughout the night to
mitigate the damage caused by Tropical Depression Ida.
Unfortunately, there are still many roads that are impassable. Do not drive around
barricades, cones, and emergency vehicles. Roads may be closed due to flooding, downed
trees, and/or downed power lines. If you have any questions or require a pump out, call
the non-emergency police number at (973) 543-2581 and press 0 to speak to an operator.
If you notice a downed power line or a tree blocking the road, do not go near it - as it
may still be energized - and report it immediately by calling 911.
Please report power outages to JCP&L directly by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS
(1-888-544-4877), or by visiting
www.firstenergycorp.com and clicking the “Report Outage”
link on
firstenergycorp.com<https://firstenergycorp.com/outages_help/Report_Powe…ml>,
or by texting 544487.
Stay safe and take care,
Sarah Neibart
