Message from Mayor Sarah Neibart Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Today, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order 118, closing all state parks and forests and county parks to further social distancing measures. After receiving numerous reports of people congregating and not following social distancing guidelines, and after discussions with our Chief of Police, I have authorized the Mendham Township Police Department to close Buttermilk Falls at 8:00pm tonight until further notice. This was not an easy decision to make, but it is in the best interest of the health and safety of Mendham Township residents. We will be monitoring other areas in the Township, and we reserve the right to close additional parks and trails if deemed necessary.
