This time last year, we were awaiting the emergency use authorization and distribution of
COVID-19 vaccines. As we prepare for our holiday celebrations today and later this season,
I am grateful that many of us can once again celebrate with our families and friends.
We are still in the midst of the pandemic but with the expansion of booster and vaccine
eligibility and increased availability of vaccines, we are more able to protect ourselves
and our loved ones from COVID-19.
During the Governor’s COVID-19 Briefing on Monday, the New Jersey Department of Health
Commissioner encouraged all residents to take precautions during this holiday season. The
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director has also published holiday tips, which
can be viewed by clicking

Regardless of how you are observing, I urge you to take this time to reflect. It has been
an incredibly trying 21 months. Thank you to every one of our community members -
residents, staff, first responders, and volunteers who have supported and helped the
Township continue to move forward. I am extremely lucky to be your neighbor and honored to
be your mayor.
If you are interested in getting tested before your holiday gatherings, the BinaxNOW
COVID-19 rapid test can be picked up at your local drugstore or can be ordered online at
CVS<https://www.cvs.com/shop/abbott-binaxnow-covid-19-antigen-self-test-…
or
Walgreens<https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/binaxnow-covid-19-antigen-ra…ct>.
I wish each of you, your families, and friends a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.
