Gardening with Native Plants for Wildlife, Wednesday, April 7, 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Do you want to see more birds and butterflies in your yard this year? Then you need to
provide the food they love at every stage. Native flowers and bushes support the whole
life cycle of butterflies by providing habitat for their young as caterpillars, which
provide food at the right time for birds. The Mendham Township Environmental Commission
& the Mendham Township Library will sponsor a webinar led by Deb Ellis, the founder
and co-leader of the Essex County chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey &
a Master Gardener. It will be held via zoom on Wednesday, April 7 from 7-8pm. Register to
attend on the Library

or

This workshop is perfect for beginner or experienced gardeners who want to support
pollinators. You will learn about invasive species and how to replace them with easy-care
and beautiful natives. Deb will be happy to take your questions after the webinar. Deb has
served on the Montclair Environmental Commission and has had a Certified Backyard Habitat
through the National Wildlife Federation for 15 years.
