Alert: WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2PM WEDNESDAY UNTIL 1PM THURSDAY

Dear Residents,

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Newburgh area from 2pm today until 1pm Thursday.

Heavy snow is expected as high as 2 inches per hour. Total snow accumulations of more than 12 inches can be expected with winds gusting as high as 40 to 45 mph.

IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

To maintain clear roadways for emergency personnel and to expedite the removal of snow, vehicles are not permitted to be parked on Town of Newburgh roads when snow is present.
