TO APPROVE: THE ISSUANCE OF UP TO $200,000.00 IN SERIAL BONDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2021 TYPE I, FORD “F-450” 4 WHEEL DRIVE SUPER DUTY XLT CHASSIS AMBULANCE.AND THE EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $84,517.00 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE TRUCK ACCOUNT
BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS, PLATTEKILL FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE OF SPECIAL DISTRICT ELECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Plattekill Fire District, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of February, 2021, duly adopted a resolution, calling for a Special Election to be held in said District on the 6th day of APRIL, 2021, and that there will be submitted to the qualified voters of said District at said election the following propositions:
PROPOSITION #1
“Shall the qualified electors of the Plattekill Fire District, within the District boundaries located in the Counties of Orange and Ulster, approve the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners on the 9th day of February, 2021, which resolution authorizes the issuance of up to TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND ($200,000.00) Dollars in serial bonds of said District pursuant to the Local Finance Law §109-b of New York to finance a portion of the purchase for the District, the purchase of one (1) 2021 Type I, Ford “F-450” 4 Wheel Drive Super Duty XLT Chassis Ambulance, the maximum cost of which is $284,514.00”
PROPOSITION #2
“Shall the qualified electors of the Plattekill Fire District, within the District boundaries located in the Counties of Orange and Ulster, approve the Resolution adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners on the 9th day of February, 2021, which resolution authorizes, the District to expend, out of the Capital Reserve Fund, up to EIGHTY-FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN ($84,517.00) Dollars towards the total anticipated cost for the purchase for the District, the purchase of one (1) 2021 Type I, Ford “F-450” 4 Wheel Drive Super Duty XLT Chassis Ambulance, the maximum cost of which is $284,517.00”
Said election shall be held at the District Firehouse, located on Firehouse Road in Plattekill, Ulster County, New York, and that the polls at said election shall be opened at the hour of 6:00 p.m. and will be closed at 9:00 p.m., on the said date of APRIL 6, 2021, and that the vote will be taken by ballot in the manner provided by law.
No person is entitled to vote at said election unless he or she is an elector of said Plattekill Fire District and duly registered within the District boundaries of Orange and Ulster County Board of Elections.
