NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET

OF THE TOWN OF NEWBURGH FOR THE YEAR 2021

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Newburgh for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2021, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Newburgh, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.

            The Town Board of the Town of Newburgh shall hold a Public Hearing on said Preliminary Budget on October 26, 2020 at 7:00 o’clock P.M. at the Town Hall, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York 12550.  At such Hearing, any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled, or for or against any item or items therein contained.    Wearing of masks and touchless temperature taking are mandatory for entry into the Town Hall at this time.

            The following are the proposed 2021 salaries of certain Town Officers of the Town of Newburgh:

                        Supervisor                                                    $ 115,973.22

                        Deputy Supervisor                                        $ 24,401.38

                        Councilmen/woman - each (4)                      $ 19,812.25

                        Town Clerk                                                    $ 72,368.08

                        Receiver of Taxes                                          $ 80,020.66

                        Town Justice - each(2)                                   $ 64,701.94
