This email is to inform you that the City of Plainfield Sewer & Solid Waste, formerly the PMUA, has now moved to a new location.  If you wish to make a payment, please come to the Tax Collector’s Office in City hall, located at 515 Watchung Avenue.  Please note the phone number, payment options and hours are still the same, only the location has changed.  Please note below for your convenience.

Payment options are as follows: 

Credit card in person or over the phone, $1.00 fee

Checks or money order made out to the “City of Plainfield”  by mail, or in person

Online using both your account number and pin number printed on your bill. 

Times and dates of closure now align with the City Hall Calendar:

Open 9:00 am-4:30pm Monday through Friday excluding the following holidays

Half Day schedule 9:00 am-12:00pm

January – New Year’s Eve

August/September – day before Labor Day

November - Election Day

December – Christmas Eve

Closure

January – New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day

February – President’s Day

April – Good Friday

May – Memorial Day

July – Independence Day

September - Labor Day

October – Columbus Day

November – Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday

December – Christmas Day
