Please note we are accepting payments in the small black mailbox marked Tax Collector’s Office on the table inside City hall located on 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ. The drop box is available from 8:30 am -5pm. Please leave a self-addressed stamped
envelope if you wish to have a receipt mailed back to you. Payments can also be made online at
www.plainfieldnj.gov. Please use your tax account number and last name for payment. If you do not have the account number, you can look it up using the
Tax Inquiry option at the top. Please be advised that our online option while free, will only accept payments from checking accounts. Lastly, we will always accept checks and money orders by mail. However, interest will
accrue on any payments received after the 10th. Please note interest is by N.J. Statutes and cannot be waived. We understand that times are difficult and have always accepted partial payments towards regular taxes. If you have any questions or
