[Plainfield tax] Tax Office Hours of Operation

Good Afternoon, This is a reminder that the 4th quarter taxes due November 1st have a grace period until the 10th. Any payments made after that date will have interest charged from the 1st as per State Statute. Please be aware that our offices follow the City's calendar and will be closed at 12, noon on November 8th Election day. Please go out and vote! It will also be closed on the 11th ,Veteran's day, with a ceremony held at 10:45am for those who wish to honor our servicemen. Please note the other payment options below for your convenience. Online: www.plainfieldnj.gov<http://www.plainfieldnj.gov> via ACH transfer using a valid checking account free of charge or debit/credit card which will carry a non-refundable 2% fee. Please use your account number and last name for payment and verify all information is correct prior to submission. We cannot waive interest for items returned by the bank. Mail: Please make your checks or money orders* to : City of Plainfield Tax Collector's Office 515 Watchung Avenue, Room 101 Plainfield, NJ 07060 Drop off: Due to health and safety concerns, we ask that you continue to only bring money orders or checks* for payment. The drop box will continue to be available in the lobby for your convenience. In Office: If you wish to come in to the office to bring your check or money order, you may do so as long as you are masked and passed the temperature, and metal detectors. *Please write your account number or block/lot on the memo portion. If you wish to have a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope for mailing.
