Good afternoon All- Governor Murphy signed the attached bill into law today-S-5117/3994 which: Modifies number of signatures required for candidates to be placed on primary, general, nonpartisan municipal, and school election ballots; and requires the Secretary of State to publish certain nominating petition forms by January 1 of each year. Earlier this morning a chart went out for signature requirements-disregard that chart and use your populations as noted in the attached bill. Once something comes out a little more defined, we will share that with you but at this time we wanted to make sure you are aware of this approved bill since petitions are out for signature for many municipalities.
