Regular Members in good standing (membership paid in full) of MCANJ continuing their pursuit of RMC, CMC and MMC certifications are eligible for Scholarships. CMC and MMC Scholarship candidates must also be tenured Municipal Clerks; however, if none apply, consideration will be given to non-tenured clerks. These Scholarships will be awarded at the
MCANJ Annual Conference. Scholarships to the Annual Conference will be awarded prior to the conference.
Scholarships awarded for RMC, CMC , MMC Programs and Athenian Dialogues during one fiscal year may be carried over until the end of the succeeding fiscal year. In order to receive a scholarship, the applicant must show proof of registration prior to the program or proof of attendance if application is made after the program. Failure to attend the program after
the award of scholarship will result in reimbursement due to MCANJ. It is the responsibility of the MCANJ Scholarship Committee to present the names of scholarship winners to the Executive Board at least four weeks prior to the Annual Conference.

The Association invites you to submit the name of a Nominee who has had an impact on your profession and who should be considered for this prestigious honor.
• Current members of the Executive Board and former recipients of the award are not eligible.

Good morning to my fellow Clerks-
I’m reaching out to you since so many clerks reached out to me after my session at the MCANJ Conference in February wanting a copy of my “Handbook for Elected Officials”. I was not able to provide those that requested what I had since it was a hard copy in my office and not in a word version along with not being updated in a while. When I had the time, I have reworked the attached handbook for you all with the most recent information and in word so you, if you wish, can incorporate a version for your municipality. I have also attached the power point presentation to this email and three attachments needed as well to include in the handbook.
I hope the attached can make your jobs a little less stressful and easier when it comes to welcoming a new member to your Council/Committee.
I enjoyed recreating this for you all and hope you can use it.

ACCSES NJ hosts an annual conference to help showcase their program and provide learning opportunities to the NJ government agencies that could avail themselves of their program and for member agencies that serve NJ citizens with disabilities. Conference this year will be October 7-8, with classes providing up to 5.5 DLGS CEUs for government professionals on October 7, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Registration to this conference is complimentary to NJ Government agencies.
