PL 2023 c. 16 - Changing certain deadlines for primary election

The Governor signed PL 2023 c. 16 (Bill s3595/A5177). This law takes effect immediately. The text of it is here: https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/Bills/2022/S4000/3595_R1.PDF Please take note of this section, which is now due on March 28th this year: 19:12-6. All municipal clerks, not later than the [57th] 71st day preceding the primary election for the general election, shall make and certify under their hands and seals of office and forward to the clerk of the county in which the municipality is located a statement designating the public offices to be filled at such election, and the number of persons to be voted for each office. Raffle License & Conference Updates

Good morning, The NJ Legalized Games of Chance Commission has asked MCANJ to advise all Municipal Clerks the importance of making sure raffle/bingo applications are fully completed before mailing them into the State. They have been receiving several applications missing information for Part A, specifically section #4a. If they receive an application missing this information it will be returned to you, which will only delay the process. [cid:c55abd60-b76a-4e75-b26a-7facde4e6b97] If you are donating items or gift baskets for the MCANJ Conference tricky tray, please email Barbara at bilaria(a)manasquan-nj.gov to let her know what you will be bringing to the conference. This will allow us to get a count on how many items/baskets we have for the tricky tray. If you would like to donate something but are not attending, please reach out and we can make arrangements to get it from you.
